Learning Bites

Training Development Timeline

  • Visual representation of a team’s training timeline - detailed and simplified representation.

  • 2023

  • Microsoft Powerpoint

  • The team involved took part in a ‘Planning Day’ facilitated by myself and a colleague.

They completed a skills matrix to ascertain all job types and potential skill gaps.

This enabled them to establish a training plan based on frequency and priority of jobs, chunked into time segments.

Process Roadmap

  • Original request was for a single page graphic to broaden understanding of a process, and highlight where possible gaps and time delays were.

The analysis phase highlighted missing ‘triggers’ for status updates / changes in the process which had impacts to other parts of the business.

Final graphic now shows a complex ,but accurate, pathway with many holdups, which previously weren’t clear or captured in one document.

  • 2022

  • Microsoft Powerpoint

  • This roadmap has now been shared widely in the business and is used by many teams to highlight where ‘designed’ processes are not being followed.

Graphic has been created using company brand colours, elements and fonts.

Development time and process map

  • The wider business, and exec, wanted a greater understanding of how long it took to develop projects (unit standards, programmes and qualifications) - highlighting the number of projects completed and the CapEX vs OpEX time spent.

  • 2016

  • Microsoft Powerpoint
    Microsoft Visio
